A decade ago, the tallest buildings in the world, Pertonas Towers is only a part of the 100 acre Kuala Lumpur Convection Center (KLCC) and is on top of every travelers agenda when visiting Kuala Lumpur.
How to get there?
Petronas Towers can be seen from almost any part of central Kuala Lumpur, just look into the sky and walk towards the direction of the towers.
If you think its too long, the nearest metro rail station is KLCC on Kelana Jaya – Putra line and nearest monorail station is Bukit Nanas.
The free bus services, Go KL has a stop at KLCC on the green line.
Attractions at KLCC
- Suriya KLCC, located on the foot of Petronas Twin Towers, is a premiere shopping mall featuring luxury and foreign clothing, usually high street brands. The mall also has an art gallery and an underwater aquarium.
- KLCC Park is a 17 acre tropical landscape providing tropical greenery in an urban sanctuary. The park has jogging track, fountains and a children’s playground. The best views of the twin towers can be seen from here.
- A double decker Skybridge connects the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floor. But the visitors are allowed access to the bridge only at 41st floor as the 42nd floor is rented out to the tenants. This is the tallest Skybridge in the world.

- The Petronas Twin Towers are still the tallest twin towers in the world.
- The two towers were constructed by two different companies in order to meet the deadline given my the Malaysian Prime Minister.
- Each tower has 10 double decker elevators, carrying up to 52 people each time.
- You can also go to the top of the towers, but the number of entries are limited.
